IBM Certification Study Guide - AIX 5L Communications
This IBM Redbook is designed as a study guide for professionals wishing to prepare for the AIX 5L Communications certification exam as a selected course of study in order to achieve the IBM Certified Advanced Technical Expert - pSeries and AIX 5L certification.
TCP/IP Tutorial and Technical Overview
The TCP/IP protocol suite has become the de facto standard for computer communications in today's networked world. The ubiquitous implementation of a specific networking standard has led to an incredible dependence on the applications enabled by it. Today, we use the TCP/IP protocols and the Internet not only for entertainment and information, but to conduct our business by performing transactions, buying and selling products, and delivering services to customers. We are continually extending the set of applications that leverage TCP/IP, thereby driving the need for further infrastructural support.
Useful TCP/IP and FTP Commands
This booklet lists many of the commonly used commands (with brief descriptions) for TCP/IP and FTP, as well as related z/OS, z/VM, VSE, Linux, and VTAM commands.
The AIX Network Data Administration Facility (NDAF)
The AIX Network Data Administration Facility (NDAF) subsystem provides for the secure centralized management of filesystem data relationships across a collection of systems. Its primary purpose is to facilitate the provisioning of data on Network File System version 4 (NFSv4) servers and the creation of a single NFSv4-exported file namespace that spans multiple server systems. NDAF is an entire system consisting of a set of NFS servers federated and managed as a single system.
